Decent, clean place but could definitely use some fixing and attention from management.
Chianciano, as a city, looked pretty deserted, like a tornado went through. Covid probably affected the tourism in the area. Nobody is investing in jotels too much. However, for Terme, I like that it was clean, the made cleaned up every day, and the breakfast was decent (compared to Alexander Palme which is awful). Parking is available around the hotel and the staff in general was friendly. I did not use the spa, but I heard people having fun in the evening. It has a restaurant, which is convenient since most things are closed in Chianciano.
I stayed in room 606. I could hear the person in the adjacent room snoring. The window blinds closed 95% of the way. The windows (both room and bath) did not close all the way, I could hear people outside. If it rains, it’s a nice touch. I could mot check out until 8:20, which is weird, if you have a plane to catch. I went for sunrise photography, and at 4:20 AM I had to wake up some guy so he could remove a wooden stick from the hotel doors and let me out, which i have never seen anywhere else before. This gave me a sense of unease.
